Tamiya Honda RA272 (1:20) F1 car

Tamiyas old Honda 1965 RA272 F1 car (1:20 scale). Built out of the box with some smaller upgrades like:
Acustion air trumpets in metal and etch. The fuel lines are made out of fishing line painted with a clear brown color. Painted in zero paints RA272 Racing white and clear coated with 2k clear.

A great kit with some great details but with some upgrades like fuel lines will make it look even better.

Classic Airframes Finnish Brewster Buffalo BW-393 (1:48)

Classic Airframes 1:48 scale Finnish Brewster Buffalo BW-393. BW-393 was flown by the finnish ace Hans Wind but was lost on 2 July 1944 at Immola after a soviet air raid. Has the orange spinner and orange nr.9 with the 32 victory marks on the tail.

For the build I used CMK engine, cockpit, flaps and some other scratch built parts. The camouflage is painted black and green with the underside painted aluminum followed by a coat of varnish mixed with a very small amount of grey. The green is a mix of vallejo russian green, yellow and olive green.

Diorama made out of wood-strips, magic sculpt and some grass from verlinden. The figures and tools are from Verlinden as well.

The only remaining Brewster Buffalo is BW-372 and can be seen at Tikkakoski air museum in Finland, but its only a loan and will return to an american museum soon.

The excellent engine from CMK and you can see the armored plate in the seat that the finns added to protect the pilot.

Verlinden toolbox and etched tools look great in this little diorama.

BW-372 at the Tikkakoski museum. Excellent condition even if it was pulled up from a russian lake.

Tamiya BT-7 m1935 1:35 (Finnish version)

Tamiyas BT-7 m1935 built as a finnish BT-7 (R-703). Conversions made on the kit is new rear and front fenders, new gunsight on the turret and a holder for a axe on the front of the tank.

Other parts used on the kit are tracks from friulmodel, etch set from alien models and a figure from alpine miniatures.

The tank built up and primed with zero paints white primer.

First time using blacken-it on metal tacks. Cleaned the tracks well with vinegar before the rust process.

The tracks in the blacken-it bath.

Tracks after the blacken-it has made its magic. The tracks are now ready for pigments.

Life color finnish armour green.

AK chipping medium tested, works like a hairspray and can be used directly in the airbrush.

Bison decals that I used for this build.

A converted alpine miniatures figure.

AZ-Models Morane Saulnier M.S.406 1:48

AZ-Models Morane Saulnier M.S.406 1:48 scale kit (AZ4805).

I wanted to build a finnish Morane 406 in 48 scale. The only available kits in 48 scale seems to be Classic airframes, Hobbycraft and AZ-Models. The AZ-models is the same kit as classic airframes but with some tweaks and more resin, well I bought the AZ-kit.

Some of the big errors I found on the kit:
-Wrong nose shape, especially the upper shape.
-Gun pods on the wings has the wrong shape.
-Corrected the fusalage that´s to wide in the rear.

I corrected the ones above and lowered the radiator, landing light is lowered, added the armoured plate that protects the pilot. The cockpit is mostly scratched built because the kit resin was horrible.

The M.S.406 that I choose to build was MS-304 with 6 aerial victories. It was flown by among others finnish ace Lehtovaara who shot down three I-16 on the same day. MS-304 was destroyed by artillery fire July 1942.

Airfix James Bond Autogyro (1:24 Scale)

Airfix old autogyro kit in 1:24 scale. The autogyro was used in the James Bond Movie
"You Only Live Twice". I upgraded the kit with new rocket pods as the one in the kit is far from how they looked in the movie.

Painted and clear coated with Zero Paints products. Metallic colors from Alclad.
